As a child, I was fortunate that my parents were very supportive of my siblings and I having pets. Our pets included:

• Dogs
• cats
• budgies
• cockatiels
• chickens and
• a horse

I have many fond memories of our family pets especially being taught by our father to ride and care for our horse. Having pets certainly taught me the importance of how to care for a pet properly and how to manage my time and responsibilities so that everything I had to get done was completed on time to a high standard.
